ASME SA179 boiler seamless pipe includes minimum wall thickness, seamless cold drawn low carbon steel tubes for tubular heat exchangers, condensers, and similar heat transfer equipment. ASME SA179 boiler seamless pipe shall be manufactured by seamless process and shall be cold drawn.

ASME SA179 boiler seamless pipe shall be heat treated at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit [650 degrees Celsius] or higher after final cold drawing. ASME SA179 boiler seamless pipe shall be subject to product analysis test, hardness test, mechanical test, flattening test, flaring test, hydrostatic test or NDT with the consent of the customer.
